We are currently seeking talented lawyers to join a National Police Team, where you will play a crucial role in advising, preparing, and presenting a variety of civil protective orders in the Magistrates' Court.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, preparing compelling cases, and advocating in court to ensure the safety of individuals and communities.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and impactful range of cases, including Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Sexual Risk Orders, and Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions.
  • Work closely with law enforcement officers and other professionals in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ensure that all legal processes comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Travel between courts will be required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with significant experience in criminal or civil law.
  • Proven expertise in handling protective orders or similar civil applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong advocacy skills.
