Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision while supporting senior lawyers on high‑value, technically complex real estate litigation matters.
- Handle a broad range of contentious property work, including landlord and tenant disputes, rights of light, restrictive covenants, mines and minerals, easements, boundary disputes, and possession claims.
- Draft a wide range of legal documentation, including pleadings, witness statements, lease notices and other court documents, while preparing matters for hearings, mediations and trials.
- Instruct counsel, support clients throughout the dispute resolution process, engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution, and provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications
- Solicitor with between NQ and 3 years' PQE and experience in real estate or property litigation.
- Experience advising on rights of light, mines and minerals, development or asset management disputes is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, strong commercial awareness, and a practical approach to resolving disputes.
- Interest in business development and building long‑term client relationships is highly regarded.
