A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Swansea is seeking an experienced and ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join its growing Lifetime Planning team. This opportunity would suit either a Senior Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career or an established Director/Partner seeking a new challenge. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on complex private client matters, leading client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members.

The Role

  • You will advise a broad range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, on:
    • Wills and succession planning
    • Trust creation and administration
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney
    • Inheritance Tax planning
    • Estate administration and probate matters
    • Complex and high-value estates
    • Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR) issues
    • Asset protection and wealth preservation strategies
  • You will also work closely with colleagues across other practice areas on multidisciplinary matters while helping to mentor and develop junior lawyers and advisers within the team.

About You

  • Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with significant experience in private client work who can demonstrate:
    • Strong technical expertise in trusts, estate planning and estate administration
    • Excellent client care and relationship management skills
    • The ability to manage a varied and busy caseload
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
    • A professional and collaborative approach
    • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
    • Ambition to progress and contribute to the ongoing success of the team
    • STEP qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
