A leading law firm in Manchester is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor with 2+ years’ experience to join their specialist team. The role involves managing a caseload of property and affairs files, assisting senior team members with complex cases, maintaining daily contact with clients, advising on various practical and legal issues, and undertaking applications to the court.
The firm handles a wealth of contested, high-value Court of Protection work, including cases with jurisdictional issues and financial abuse investigations.
The Candidate: Applications are welcomed from individuals with 2+ years of experience in Court of Protection and/or property and affairs, who are well versed in professional deputyship work and experienced in applying for and contesting Court of Protection matters. Knowledge of welfare issues and different care funding options, including local authority and NHS funding, is essential.
