A respected and long-standing Dorset law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Litigation Solicitor to join its dispute resolution team as part of a clear succession plan. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced litigator who is ready to step into a leadership role and shape the future of the department.

The Opportunity

This role offers far more than day-to-day fee earning. You’ll take ownership of a broad and high-quality litigation caseload, while playing an integral role in the continued development of the team. Working closely with senior management, you’ll have real influence over how the department evolves, with a defined pathway to Head of Department.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a varied general litigation and dispute resolution caseload
  • Handling matters with autonomy, applying sound commercial judgement
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers as the team grows
  • Working alongside firm leadership on the long-term direction of the department

About you

  • 7+ PQE in general litigation or dispute resolution
  • Technically strong, commercially minded, and pragmatic
  • Comfortable running cases independently
  • Ready to move into a leadership / Head of Department position in the near future
  • Looking for long-term security and progression within one firm
