An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well established and highly regarded practice with a strong presence across the North East. The successful candidate will join a busy and expanding private client team handling a broad range of matters including wills, probate, powers of attorney, Court of Protection applications and trusts. The department advises a diverse client base and is known for delivering a high standard of client care across a varied caseload. There is also the opportunity to become involved in contentious probate matters for candidates with the relevant experience or an interest in developing expertise in this area. The balance between contentious and non-contentious work can be tailored depending on experience and preference. The position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment while also maintaining autonomy over your own caseload.
Applications are welcomed from solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE within private client matters. Candidates should be confident managing their own caseload independently and possess strong technical knowledge across a broad range of private client work. STEP qualification or progress towards the STEP diploma would be advantageous, as would experience advising high-net-worth individuals, estate planning matters and farming clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and client care skills, be commercially aware, IT literate and motivated to contribute towards ongoing business development activities. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team are essential.
