You will take real ownership of your work, run your own matters, and play a key role in the delivery and management of complex projects.

THE ROLE: You will play a leading role on major projects, overseeing and coordinating project management to ensure the seamless delivery of services, while also contributing to the design and implementation of innovative contract structures. Your responsibilities will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, incorporating complex financial and technical schedules, as well as advising on PFI expiry, variations, and future public-private partnership arrangements. You will play an active role in business development and marketing initiatives, including client training, preparation of tenders, participation in pitches and attendance at client hospitality events. In addition, you will mentor and supervise junior team members and support the delivery of client training. There is also the opportunity to broaden your expertise by getting involved in procurement work and developing your procurement skills, should this be an area of interest.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ PQE, with strong commercial law expertise and excellent drafting skills, ideally including experience with the Model Services Contract. You will be confident, working collaboratively with clients and able to provide clear, concise, and pragmatic advice. Experience working with government departments or private sector organisations contracting with government is essential. Additionally, experience in public procurement would be highly advantageous, and holding Security Clearance would be beneficial, although it is not a requirement.

THE FIRM: Ranked among the UK's top 50 law firms, this firm offers a highly competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
