Job Description
PLANNING SOLICITOR, 3+ PQE, LONDON, £70-80,000 (DOE). Excellent opportunity to join the renowned planning team of this Legal 500 firm, offering a competitive salary, hybrid/flexible working, 26 days’ holiday, pension, private medical, enhanced parental pay, and annual discretionary bonus.
• The firm are accepting applications from candidates with at least 3 years’ PQE, with strong knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessments, Community Infrastructure Levy and GLA planning matters.
• You will manage an independent caseload of planning law matters, providing tailored advice on securing planning permission, drafting and negotiating statutory agreements, and conducting due diligence on the associated planning aspects of real estate, corporate transactions, and funding — with a particular focus on special protection areas, village greens, highways advice, and assets of community value.
• Additionally, you will participate in the audit of planning application documents and committee reports, in order to assist clients with appeals, judicial reviews, enforcement, and risk management.
• You must have extensive experience in planning and highways law, including drafting complex Section 106 agreements, land development, planning due diligence, planning-led regeneration projects, advising on judicial reviews, and handling planning appeals and committee presentations.
• You will collaborate closely with senior colleagues to drive the growth of the practice, engaging in business development and marketing initiatives while building and maintaining a strong network of internal and external contacts.
