This is a rare opportunity for a Barrister with 2–5 years' post-call experience to step into a role offering high-quality advocacy work, excellent client exposure, and genuine work-life balance, while remaining focused on what you enjoy most: advocacy, strategy and advisory work.

Working as part of one of the most reputable teams, you will be joining the employment team supporting a diverse client base spanning commercial organisations, healthcare providers, educational institutions and public sector bodies. On offer with this role is a broad mix of Employment Tribunal advocacy, strategic input on complex employment matters as well as advisory work. You will receive a steady flow of high-quality instructions from the established employment team, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent outcomes for clients. You will become involved in matters from the outset, helping to shape case strategy, draft pleadings and advisory documents, and represent clients at preliminary and final hearings across the Employment Tribunal system.

We are keen to speak with Barristers who have:

  • 2–5 years' post-call experience.
  • Employment Tribunal advocacy experience.
  • A genuine passion for employment law and litigation.
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • A collaborative and commercial approach to client service.
  • The desire to develop within an innovative and growing advocacy team.

Applications are welcomed from those with a mixed practice including employment law who have developed a particular interest in employment law and are looking to build a more specialist career in this area.

This position offers several advantages that are difficult to find in traditional practice:

  • High-quality advocacy work across a nationally recognised client portfolio.
  • The opportunity to influence litigation strategy from the outset.
  • Greater involvement in client relationships and advisory work.
  • Access to complex and varied employment disputes.
  • Genuine flexibility around location and hybrid working.
  • Strong support for professional development and mentoring.
  • A collaborative environment that combines the best aspects of private practice and chambers.

The successful Employment Barrister will join an organisation with ambitious growth plans for its advocacy function and will play a key role in shaping its future development.
