The Role
You will manage your own Court of Protection caseload, advising vulnerable clients and their families with sensitivity and technical expertise. The role is well suited to a solicitor who enjoys client-facing work, relationship-building and business development, and who is motivated by contributing to the growth of a developing practice.
Key Work
- Deputyship applications (property & affairs and welfare)
- Ongoing deputyship management
- Applications to the Court of Protection
- Advising attorneys and deputies
- Mental Capacity Act advice
- Statutory wills and gifts
- Liaising with families, care providers, local authorities and other professionals
Business Development & Networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
- Attend networking events and business development activities
- Contribute to raising the profile of the Court of Protection offering
- Support the development of processes, best practice and future growth opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with Court of Protection experience
- Confident managing a caseload independently
- Compassionate, client-focused and detail-oriented
- Commercially aware and proactive
