Criminal Duty SolicitorLocation : Manchester
Salary : Up to £50,000 DOE
Experience : 1+ PQE
RoleThe successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, attend police stations, represent clients at the Magistrates' Court, assist with Crown Court cases where appropriate, participate in the duty rota including out‐of‐hours work, and work closely with experienced colleagues on case preparation. The role requires delivering high‐quality, timely and robust legal advice to clients at all times.
CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with current Duty Solicitor Accreditation, experience handling criminal matters during training or post‐qualification, confidence attending police stations and representing clients before the Magistrates' Court, strong advocacy skills, ability to work under pressure, commitment to client care and professional standards, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, proactive approach, and willingness to participate in the out‐of‐hours duty rota.
