A highly regarded regional law firm with a strong footprint across Dorset and Somerset is seeking a Partner level Family Solicitor to join its established Family team. This opportunity arises following the retirement of a Partner and offers a genuine leadership role within a thriving department.

Based in modern offices in a central Dorset location, this role combines high value fee earning with strategic leadership. You will take ownership of a complex Family law caseload while contributing to the direction, profile, and continued growth of the department.
The position involves regular interaction with clients and stakeholders, along with selective local travel for court hearings, meetings, and business development activity.
Key Responsibilities- Handling a caseload of high value matrimonial and financial remedy matters
- Providing leadership, supervision, and mentoring to junior lawyers and support staff
- Playing an active role in business development, networking, and practice growth
- Acting as a senior ambassador for the firm internally and externally
You will be a senior Family Solicitor with:
- Significant experience in complex financial remedy and matrimonial work
- Strong advocacy skills and regular court attendance
- A proven track record of team leadership and supervision
- Commercial awareness and confidence in developing a practice
- High standards of professionalism, discretion, and client care
- Local market knowledge and existing connections would be advantageous, though not essential
