An established and highly regarded law firm based in Bath is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its busy claimant Clinical Negligence team. The role has arisen due to a sustained increase in workload and offers the opportunity to act exclusively for claimants, representing individuals and families in complex, high‐value clinical negligence claims.
The successful candidate will manage a varied claimant caseload from inception through to conclusion, including cases involving birth injuries, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and fatal claims, working closely with clients to provide a compassionate, thorough, and strategic service. Full secretarial support is provided, allowing solicitors to focus on case progression and client care.
Caseload
- Birth Injury claims, including Third & Fourth Degree Tears
- Cancer Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis cases
- Brain Injury and Stroke claims
- Surgical Errors, including bile duct injuries and cholecystectomy claims
- Cauda Equina Syndrome and spinal injury claims
- Wrongful Diagnosis and delayed treatment matters
- Fatal Clinical Negligence claims
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in claimant clinical negligence
- Proven experience managing claimant matters independently
- Strong client care skills with an empathetic and professional approach
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and case management abilities
- Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently
