A well established law firm is looking to hire a Legal Cashier to join their busy finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the firm’s legal work, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling client and office accounts
  • Preparing and reconciling bank statements
  • Processing payments and receipts
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts

You will work closely with Fee Earners and the management team to provide accurate financial reporting and ensure that all transactions are completed efficiently and transparently.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Legal Cashier, ideally within a law firm environment. You will be meticulous, organised and highly numerate, with a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and regulatory requirements for client and office accounts. Strong IT skills and proficiency with accounting software are essential and you should be confident preparing reconciliations, reports and financial summaries. You will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team.
