An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Personal Injury Lawyer to join a highly regarded and Legal 500 ranked claimant personal injury team, offering exposure to a varied and fast paced caseload alongside excellent long term career development prospects.

Location: Leeds

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of claimant personal injury matters, predominantly employer’s liability and public liability claims, alongside road traffic accident and disease cases.
  • Handle files from inception through to settlement, including pre-litigated and litigated matters, ensuring cases progress efficiently and comply with MOJ Portal and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements and settlement documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts, insurers and third parties.
  • Maintain high levels of client care, progress own caseload independently, meeting targets and service standards.
  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives such as content creation and community engagement activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • 1–7 years’ PQE or equivalent claimant personal injury experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law and procedure, including MOJ Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Experience of EL/PL and RTA work, disease experience advantageous.
  • Confident drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and communicating effectively with clients, medical professionals and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure.
  • Professional and client-focused approach, comfortable working towards targets and contributing positively to a high-performing team environment.
