An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Insurance Risk team at an exciting stage of growth. Recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers, this top 50 national firm has rapidly built a strong market reputation and is continuing to gain momentum through industry recognition, thought leadership, and a growing profile across the London and international insurance markets.

This role offers the chance to work with insurers, MGAs, reinsurers and other market participants on a broad range of complex coverage and claims matters, with a particular focus on property damage claims and related coverage issues.

The Role:
  • Advising on complex coverage issues and disputes across a range of insurance classes.
  • Drafting and reviewing policy wordings, with a particular emphasis on property damage risks.
  • Managing high-value claims litigation, including subrogated recoveries.
  • Handling disputes before the Commercial Court and Technology Construction Court.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, client briefings, articles and wider market engagement.
  • Playing a key role in the continued growth and success of a dynamic and expanding practice.
About You:
  • 7+ years' PQE
  • Strong insurance and reinsurance experience gained within a recognised City, specialist insurance, or market-facing practice.
  • Applications are also welcomed from lawyers who have developed comparable expertise in-house within the insurance sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance and reinsurance law.
  • Experience handling complex, high-value matters.
  • A solid understanding of the London insurance market.
  • Commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
