THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join a top-ranked life sciences team based in Oxfordshire. This specialist practice advises a broad spectrum of life sciences and technology-based clients, including biotech, biopharma, vaccines, medical devices, diagnostics, agbiotech and tech bio businesses, as well as universities, research institutes, charities and government bodies.

You will undertake a wide range of commercial work including IP licensing and partnering transactions, clinical trial arrangements, research collaborations, supply and manufacturing agreements, regulatory matters, data protection issues and due diligence for corporate transactions. Working closely with senior members of a large and highly regarded commercial IP and IT team, you will play a key role in delivering strategic advice to innovative and high-growth clients operating at the forefront of scientific and technological development.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will have at least five years’ post-qualification experience gained within a strong regional, City or in-house environment. You will demonstrate solid technical expertise in commercial law and have proven experience advising life sciences or technology-based businesses. Commercial awareness, enthusiasm for the sector and the flexibility to work across a varied caseload are essential. This role would suit a proactive and ambitious lawyer seeking to deepen their sector expertise within a leading specialist team.
