The Opportunity

An established and growing organisation in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, improving financial processes, and driving business performance.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day finance operations while providing insightful financial analysis to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the finance department.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions.
• Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Monitor financial performance and provide commercial recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and improve financial systems, controls and reporting procedures.
• Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
• Manage, mentor and develop finance team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership position.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
