An excellent opportunity to join the highly successful Insolvency team at this Legal 500 law firm. This role is ideal for an ambitious solicitor who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, builds strong networks, and wants to play a key part in the continued growth of a dynamic and successful insolvency practice.

THE ROLE

This firm is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its growing Insolvency team. In this role, you will work closely with the partner and senior associates, handling a varied caseload spanning all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, including transactional, advisory, and contentious matters. You will act for a diverse client base, including insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, investors, directors, companies, and individuals.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE and demonstrate a strong level of technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of insolvency law. A solid working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016, and Companies Act 2006 is essential. You will bring substantial experience across a broad range of matters, including security reviews, administration appointments, business sales, transactions at an undervalue, preferences, and directors’ loan accounts, as well as winding‑up petitions, bankruptcy petitions and estates, and matrimonial home proceedings. Experience in appointing and working with LPA Receivers would be highly advantageous. Additionally, candidates with an established network of contacts are welcomed, though this is not essential.
