An established national practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor to lead its professional support function within the employment, pensions and immigration team. This senior position has responsibility for shaping and delivering knowledge strategy, supporting fee earners and driving innovation across the wider practice. You will oversee a team of Professional Support Lawyers, ensuring delivery of high‑quality legal know‑how, training and client‑facing content.
The role involves developing and maintaining precedent materials, delivering internal and external training and ensuring lawyers remain up‑to‑date with legal and market developments. You will also play a key role in content creation, producing briefings, articles and client updates, and supporting business development initiatives.
A significant aspect of the role will involve championing the use of technology and innovation, including development and management of automated documents and digital tools designed to enhance efficiency and client service. You will work closely with partners and colleagues across the firm to support strategic objectives and maintain the team’s strong market profile.
The candidate
- Qualified solicitor with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience and strong expertise in employment law, ideally with some exposure to immigration matters.
- Experience leading a professional support role or a senior fee earner transitioning to a knowledge‑focused position is desirable.
- Demonstrates strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, genuine interest in knowledge management, training and innovation.
- Experience supervising or mentoring others is advantageous.
- Proactive approach, commercial awareness, and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business are essential.
