THE ROLE
You will act for clients on consumer contract disputes, including new-build issues, misrepresentation and professional negligence. You will provide clear and accurate legal advice, set realistic expectations and guide clients through decisions and next steps in a straightforward and accessible way. You will take all reasonable steps to settle claims and recover costs, while keeping accurate and up-to-date system records.
Supervision of junior colleagues will be a key part of the role including reviewing correspondence and court documents, conducting weekly file reviews and providing mentoring and day‐to‐day support to build their skills. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by helping to develop best practice, enhance product performance and improve the customer experience where new ideas will be encouraged and valued.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 3 years' PQE. You should have a background in handling consumer contract and professional negligence disputes across fast, intermediate and multi‐track claims. You will be able to collaborate effectively with the wider team and support others in developing their technical and complex case handling abilities. Experience using a Case Management System is essential, along with previous experience in supervision, mentoring or team development.
