A leading international law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified Property Damage Solicitor to join its growing team in Birmingham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious NQ to develop their career within a nationally recognised disputes practice, acting for a broad range of insurer, corporate and commercial clients on high-value and complex property damage claims.
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will benefit from high-quality supervision, structured development and exposure to a varied caseload from the outset.
The Role
- Advise on a wide range of property damage matters, including handling property damage claims arising from fires, floods, escapes of water, explosions and other significant incidents.
- Manage subrogated recovery actions on behalf of insurers.
- Advise clients on liability, quantum and policy-related issues.
- Assist on high-value, technically complex and multi-party litigation.
- Work closely with experts, loss adjusters, insurers and corporate clients to deliver commercially focused solutions.
- Support senior lawyers on major losses while progressively managing your own caseload.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Solicitors who have completed a litigation or property damage seat during their training contract. You will demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in property damage litigation and insurance disputes.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A commercial, proactive approach to client service.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Candidates with experience in commercial litigation, defendant insurance litigation or broader disputes work who are looking to specialise in property damage are also encouraged to apply.
