Due to continued growth and a significant increase in new client enquiries, a well established Somerset law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its Wills, Trusts and Estate Administration Department. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and Consultants within a friendly, supportive and client focused firm, where professional development is actively encouraged and individual career goals are supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of Court of Protection and attorneyship matters
- Depending on experience and interest, assisting with a broader private client caseload, including:
- Estate and trust administration
- Will drafting
- Preparation and advice on Lasting Powers of Attorney
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 2–4 years’ PQE
- Recent experience running a Court of Protection caseload from instruction to conclusion
- Strong client care and communication skills (written, telephone and face to face)
- Proactive, flexible and able to demonstrate initiative
- Highly organised with excellent diary and workload management skills
- Strong attention to detail with accurate drafting and typing skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and PDF software
- Experience with Oyez Forms is advantageous but not essential
