Founders Associate @ enki | Building the go-to platform for fractional finance talent

Now hiring: Fractional Finance Manager (3 days/week)

London hybrid | High-growth B2B SaaS | UK + US entity exposure preferred

A fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company is looking to hire a fractional Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function during a pivotal moment in its growth.

They’ve recently raised a significant Series A from a top-tier fund and are scaling quickly – launching new markets (including the US), growing headcount, and expanding their go-to-market strategy. Until now, finance has been covered by a fractional manager and associate, supported heavily by the company’s Founder’s Associate. That model has reached its limit.

This role is about stepping in to lead finance operations end-to-end, build systems that scale, and give leadership confidence in the numbers – without surprises.

Role overview

  • Fractional Finance Manager
  • 3 days per week (likely to increase over time)
  • Target start date: September or October
  • Hybrid: 1 day/week in London office
  • Compensation: Pro-rata salary TBC
  • Potential to evolve into a full-time leadership role if aligned

Key responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day finance operations: payroll, vendor payments, cashflow, benefits, bookkeeping oversight
  • Lead monthly + quarterly reporting, cashflow forecasting, and budgeting
  • Design and implement scalable processes, controls, and financial systems
  • Ensure compliance and financial hygiene across both UK and US entities
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, People Ops, Sales, and Legal to align on systems and strategy
  • Oversee and manage external accounting and bookkeeping partners
  • Guide the future build-out of the internal finance team
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic decision-making, reporting, and business readiness

What we\’re looking for

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, ideally in a B2B SaaS scale-up
  • Hands-on ownership of a finance function (or ready to step into it)
  • Strong fundamentals in accounting, treasury, compliance, multi-entity reporting
  • Experience working with both UK and US finance structures
  • Series B/C stage experience preferred
  • Familiarity with PLG or B2B SaaS business models and reporting frameworks
  • Excellent systems/process thinker – able to bring structure and automation to a scaling org
  • Highly autonomous and accountable – someone who “just knows how to run this stuff”
  • Comfortable building in ambiguity and problem-solving independently
  • Low ego, collaborative, and aligned with a company culture built on trust and shared ownership

This role is perfect for someone who has already built a finance function – or is ready to do it for the first time. You may be stepping back from a senior full-time role, returning to work after time away, or simply looking for more autonomy and ownership. What matters most is that you’re reliable, experienced, and excited to help build something that scales.

You’ll be the person the business leans on to keep finance tight as they scale fast – and you’ll have the space, trust, and respect to do it your way.

How to apply

If you’re a technically strong, process-minded finance operator who enjoys building systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making a visible impact, apply via the link. We’ll be reviewing applications as they come in.
