Our mission is to help founders hire their first finance leader at the right time, in the right way, and at the right cost. Many founders struggle to afford a full-time CFO or find a good fractional one, often resulting in poor hiring decisions. enki exists to fix that by building a community of vetted fractional finance leaders in the UK — CFOs, FDs, and FCs who have relevant experience. We connect them to the right companies quickly, enabling better financial leadership for founders, leading to better decisions and more sustainable businesses.
We are a small team based in London, and since launching in January 2025, we have worked with various companies to provide access to flexible finance leadership. Our community consists of over 170 vetted members who have been thoroughly interviewed and referenced. The platform is established, and we are now focused on creating a scalable way to attract more suitable founders.
About the role
This is a commercial role focused on finding founders with finance pain points, initiating conversations, gathering briefs, and making placements. You will leverage proprietary data on community members to personalise outreach effectively. Most of the pipeline will come from direct outbound efforts, and you will also run a webinar programme for founders to generate inbound interest.
What you’ll do:
- Run daily outbound to founders at UK startups and manage the pipeline from initial contact to signed brief.
- Utilise enki’s community data to personalise campaigns and match talent to companies before a brief is written.
- Conduct webinars for founders, extracting value from community members and delivering it to ideal customer profile (ICP) founders.
- Stay active in the enki CFO community to surface inbound leads and understand member availability.
- Support the placement process through intake calls, candidate briefings, and coordination.
- Maintain and own CRM processes.
- Build partnerships with accelerators and VC firms.
About you:
You have 3–5 years of experience in a go-to-market or sales role at a startup or scaleup, generating results without a playbook. You are comfortable with cold outreach and persistent in your follow-ups. You are outgoing and can engage with CFOs or founders easily. You have an interest in startups and finance, and while you may not be an expert, you are curious enough to have genuine conversations. You have experience in environments where you had to wear multiple hats.
Nice to have:
- Experience with outbound tools such as Apollo, Attio, or Clay.
- Fluency with AI tools and automation platforms like Claude, Granola, Zapier, n8n, or Airtable.
- Exposure to the UK startup or VC ecosystem.
- Comfort using AI to enhance outreach and research.
- Prior founding experience, even at a small scale.
What we offer:
- Uncapped commission based on performance, with consistent placements leading to increased earnings.
- A community of 200 CFOs and access to valuable data assets.
- The freedom to pursue your own ideas with agency and autonomy.
How to apply:
Easy apply via LinkedIn.
The process:
- Stage 1: 15-minute screening call.
- Stage 2: 45-minute background deep-dive.
- Stage 3: 2-hour task.
- Stage 4: Decision within 2 weeks of the screening call.
