We are looking for a warm, playful and engaging tutor to support a Reception-aged student with early preparation for the 7+ entrance process.
The focus of the tuition will be on building confidence and developing strong foundations in English and Maths, while gradually introducing the skills needed for future 7+ assessments. The ideal tutor will take a creative and hands‑on approach to learning, incorporating games, activities and practical exercises to make sessions engaging and enjoyable.
A key part of the role will be helping the student to grow in confidence, develop independence and feel more comfortable expressing their ideas. We are therefore looking for someone patient, encouraging and able to build a strong rapport with younger learners.
The ideal tutor will have:
- Experience teaching or tutoring Early Years / KS1
- Strong knowledge of 7+ preparation and London independent school entrance
- A playful, creative and engaging teaching style
- Experience supporting confidence and communication
- The ability to adapt sessions to suit a practical, hands‑on learner
Location: Richmond – in person
Schedule: One session per week, from 4:00pm on weekdays, or flexible availability at weekends (excluding Sunday mornings)
Focus: 7+ preparation, confidence building, English and Maths fundamentals
