Domiciliary Health Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in home care settings. Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
• Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that individual needs are met.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents\’ conditions to the appropriate staff.
• Support residents in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence as much as possible.
• Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transport of clients when necessary.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
• A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
• Strong IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and using digital tools within the role.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with residents and collaborating with colleagues.
