We’re currently recruiting for an HGV 2 Driver to join our team based in Aberdeen. This role will involve the safe delivery of Scaffold Materials to client sites and general yard duties when not out on delivery runs. The ideal candidate will hold a Category C licence and ideally a HIAB licence – although HIAB training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate 26t vehicles to deliver scaffold material to various customer locations.
  • Conduct pre-use vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness at all times.
  • Use of a HIAB crane for safe loading/unloading of materials (training can be provided).
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
  • Support with general yard duties, including loading/unloading materials, stock checks, and keeping the yard tidy.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily operational needs.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Valid Category C driving licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • HIAB licence preferred – training can be provided.
  • Previous experience in a similar delivery or driver role is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Experience working in a yard or construction-based environment.
  • Experience of loading and securing similar load types.
