At Eni, we are looking for an Oil Products Analyst within Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London. You will provide in-depth analysis and forecasts related to the global oil markets, focusing on refining economics, supply-demand balances, and market trends, specifically related to Light Ends. This role requires a deep understanding of the oil industry, focusing on refining operations, geopolitical influences, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting the sector. The analyst will support decision‑making for internal stakeholders, including trading, upstream, and strategic planning teams.
This role offers exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle through close collaboration with Oil & Freight Trading, Shipping Operations, Scheduling, Credit, Middle Office, Back Office, Insurance, Legal, Finance, and Contract teams. A degree of flexibility is expected for knowledge sharing and coverage when required. Some out‑of‑hours work may be necessary.

Main responsibilities- Synthesizing cross‑regional and cross‑product fundamental themes, focusing on Light Ends (LPG, Naphtha, Gasoline).
- Designing, implementing, and improving analytical tools and models for real‑time understanding of market dynamics.
- Challenging and validating modelling approaches via back‑testing and research studies.
- Maintaining and updating global energy statistics, refining product balances, and future demand/supply forecasts.
- Preparing reports and presentations for management, advising on crude/refined product profitability to support trading and upstream operations.
- Proposing and supporting IT/software improvements to enhance analysis quality and efficiency.
- A university degree in a numerate discipline.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in market analysis and reporting.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving industry trends.
- Ability to propose solutions to complex market analysis challenges and data issues.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage.
