A leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join its project delivery team on a major residential development in North West London.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the mechanical works, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
The Role
This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager who is confident managing subcontractors, coordinating multiple work fronts and maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day mechanical construction activities on site.
Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, labour and specialist trades.
Work closely with the Project Manager to deliver the mechanical package to programme.
Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
Manage sequencing and coordination of mechanical works.
Monitor installation quality and ensure works meet the required standards.
Coordinate mechanical works with electrical and wider construction activities.
Monitor Health & Safety across all mechanical activities.
Attend site, progress and coordination meetings.
Identify issues early and drive them through to resolution.
Support testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
Maintain accurate site records and project documentation.
Experience & Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or Mechanical Supervisor.
Strong mechanical building services background.
Previous experience working on large residential projects.
Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.
Good understanding of construction sequencing and programme delivery.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
SMSTS.
CSCS.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
