A leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager to join its Residential Division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commissioning professional to take responsibility for the successful commissioning and handover of mechanical and electrical services across major residential projects.
The Role
You will take ownership of the commissioning process from planning and preparation through to testing, commissioning, witnessing and final handover.
Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants and clients, you will ensure all M&E systems are fully tested, commissioned and handed over to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commissioning process across major residential projects.
Develop and manage detailed commissioning plans and programmes.
Coordinate commissioning activities with Project Managers and site teams.
Liaise with consultants, clients, manufacturers and specialist subcontractors.
Review commissioning documentation, test results and technical submissions.
Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical building services.
Attend witnessing and demonstration activities with clients and consultants.
Identify and resolve commissioning issues and technical problems.
Monitor progress against the commissioning programme.
Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate snagging and outstanding commissioning items through to close-out.
Support final project handover and ensure all relevant O&M and commissioning information is complete.
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and quality throughout the commissioning process.
Experience & Requirements
Proven experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager or similar.
Strong mechanical and electrical building services knowledge.
Previous experience working on large residential projects.
Strong understanding of commissioning procedures and project handover.
