Mechanical Supervisor - Night Shift / Day Shift Stratford, London - Westfield £300 per day ASAP Start A well-established Mechanical Building Services contractor is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join its team on a major project in Stratford, Westfield. The role can accommodate either a day or evening shift, with the evening shift currently operating 4:00pm-10:00pm. The successful candidate will supervise the mechanical installation, ensuring works are coordinated, safe and delivered to a high standard. The project is a £2 million mechanical installation within a large basement space. The works include 4-pipe fan coil units, AHUs, smoke extract, kitchen extract, plumbing, drainage and heating, with the systems serving the wider space rather than individual rooms. The Role You will supervise the mechanical works on your allocated shift, coordinating labour, subcontractors and the ongoing installation. The role would suit someone with some previous supervisory experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. The contractor is also open to someone who is less experienced but has the right attitude, technical background and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Supervise mechanical works on either the day or evening shift. Coordinate mechanical labour, subcontractors and specialist trades. Ensure works are completed safely and in line with the project programme. Monitor quality, workmanship and installation standards. Read and work from mechanical drawings and specifications. Coordinate multiple mechanical services and work fronts. Carry out regular inspections and provide progress updates. Maintain strong communication with the wider project team.
