Group Metropolitan are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a long-term programme of works on a data centre project based in Slough.
This role will focus on the delivery of multiple small works mechanical packages, typically valued between £200k-£400k, secured under a minimum 3-year framework. It offers long-term stability, variety of work, and the opportunity to become a key part of a specialist delivery team.
The Role- Managing multiple mechanical small works projects concurrently within a live data centre environment
- Overseeing delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover
- Managing subcontractors, programme, quality and health & safety
- Coordinating with the client, consultants and internal teams
- Managing variations, cost control and reporting
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard
- Live operational environments
- Data centres (prior experience beneficial but not essential)
- Comparable backgrounds welcomed from:
- Commercial buildings
- Financial institutions
- Hospitals or healthcare
- Other critical or live environments
- Strong mechanical background within building services
- Proven experience managing projects in live or critical environments
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
