A specialist air conditioning contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team based in Camden, London. This role requires a well-rounded Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years' UK experience at Project Manager level within an air conditioning specialist contractor. Strong technical knowledge of AC systems is essential, with additional knowledge of ventilation and wider mechanical or plumbing services considered beneficial.

Role Overview

You will take full responsibility for the delivery of multiple air conditioning and ventilation projects from planning through to commissioning and final account. The role requires someone capable of managing the full project lifecycle, including programme management, procurement, commercial processes, and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning, programming, and coordination of installation works
  • Procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractors
  • Preparation and submission of applications for payment and invoicing
  • Management of project variations, valuations, and final accounts
  • Supply chain management including subcontractor accounts and project close-out
  • Liaison with clients, consultants, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Overseeing commissioning activities including AC systems and integration with BMS
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within a UK air conditioning specialist contractor
  • Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems
  • Good understanding of ventilation systems, with wider mechanical or plumbing knowledge beneficial
  • Experience managing commercial processes including valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Strong organisational and programme management capability
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills

Location

This position is office-based in Camden (NW1). Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance of Central London.

Package

£65,000 total package. Highly competitive bonus structure - Uncapped potential based on you. Railcard for travel within Zones 1-6.
