We are supporting a well-established, high-performing M&E contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex building services across the UK and Europe. Due to the award of a major life sciences development in Cambridge, they are now looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile, technically challenging project in one of the UK's fastest-growing sectors. You'll support the electrical package from design coordination through to installation and commissioning, working closely with the wider site delivery team.

The Role

  • Assist in the delivery of the electrical scope on a major life sciences project
  • Coordinate with the design team, ensuring all drawings and technical details are accurate and up to date
  • Oversee and support subcontractors with installations, inspections and QA
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and programme milestones
  • Support the project team with commissioning and handover documentation
  • Work collaboratively with other trades, consultants, and the client team to ensure smooth project delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Electrically qualified with experience in building services or industrial M&E projects
  • Experience working on large-scale schemes; life sciences, healthcare, or cleanroom environments advantageous
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including containment, power, lighting, and fire alarms
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, able to work well under pressure
