Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator

Location: Cambridge (with option to work from Colchester part of the week)

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Car / Allowance + Benefits

We are supporting a well-established and financially secure building services contractor with a strong reputation across education, healthcare, life sciences, leisure, and student accommodation projects. The company has achieved sustained year-on-year growth through collaborative working and long-term client relationships, supported by a highly capable in-house delivery team. Due to continued project success, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Estimator — with scope for the role to be shaped around someone operating at senior level.

The Role:

  • Preparing tenders and cost plans for electrical packages on projects up to c.£12.5m (typical values £5m-£6m).
  • Working across a steady pipeline of projects in education, healthcare, life sciences, leisure, and student accommodation.
  • Liaising with the supply chain to secure competitive and realistic pricing.
  • Providing technical and commercial input during pre-construction.
  • Working closely with internal project and installation teams to ensure accurate proposals.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within building services.
  • Background in one or more of the listed sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working 5 days per week in the Cambridge office (with flexibility to use Colchester when required).
  • Applicants operating at either intermediate or senior level will be considered.
