Senior Mechanical Estimator Canary Wharf, London £70,000-£100,000 DOE A leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join its commercial team. The business delivers a broad range of commercial projects across London, with particular experience in fast-track fit-out and refurbishment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to take ownership of tenders and play a key role within a growing pre-construction team.

Canary Wharf office , you will be responsible for pricing a varied portfolio of mechanical projects across the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will have previous commercial fit-out experience, although strong mechanical estimating experience from a wider commercial building services background will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for commercial projects. Review tender drawings, specifications, schedules and contract information. Analyse project requirements and identify risks, exclusions and opportunities. Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations. Complete material, labour and subcontract pricing. Produce accurate and competitive tender submissions. Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors. Attend tender meetings and site visits where required. Work closely with design, pre-construction and project delivery teams. Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions. Ensure successful tenders are properly handed over to the project delivery team. Support the wider commercial team with cost planning and procurement information. Experience & Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator within M&E Building Services. Strong mechanical technical knowledge. Commercial fit-out experience is highly desirable. Experience pricing projects across a range of values and complexities. Strong understanding of mechanical installations, specifications and drawings. Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations. Strong commercial awareness. Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability. Strong communication and negotiation skills. The Opportunity This is a senior estimating position within an established M&E contractor with a strong commercial project portfolio. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of significant tenders, work on technically varied projects and collaborate closely with experienced design, pre-construction and delivery teams.
