An established building services contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of commercial electrical projects across Essex and Suffolk. This is a long-term contract opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys leading site teams, maintaining high installation standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical installations across multiple projects, managing both directly employed electricians and subcontract labour.
- Working closely with the Project and Contracts Management team, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme while maintaining excellent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installations across multiple commercial projects
- Manage directly employed electricians and subcontract labour
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all site activities
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure installations meet specification
- Resolve technical and site issues as they arise
- Coordinate labour, materials, and daily site activities
- Monitor progress against programme and report on project performance
- Attend site meetings and liaise with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors
- Ensure site documentation and records are maintained accurately
- Promote a safe, productive, and professional working environment
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the Building Services industry
- Strong commercial electrical installation background
- Experience managing both direct labour and subcontractors
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance
- ECS Gold Card or equivalent
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
