Role Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operation within a high-volume secondary school in the Langley area. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a busy service, deliver fresh‑cooked meals, and provide strong leadership to a committed team.
Location: Langley Area (SL3)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Weeks: 42 Hours: 45 Shift: 07:00am 16:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Culinary & Service Leadership
- Deliver high-quality, fresh, and nutritious menus daily.
- Ensure efficient workflows during peak service times.
- Lead on the creation of themed days, food promotions, and student engagement initiatives.
Team & Culture Leadership
- Motivate and lead the catering team to achieve operational excellence.
- Conduct appraisals, training sessions, and team briefings.
- Create an inclusive, respectful, and productive team environment.
Compliance & Audit Performance
- Ensure full compliance with all food safety and hygiene legislation.
- Maintain excellent audit outcomes through robust processes and staff training.
