We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school environment in central London. This is a part-time, term-time role, ideal for someone organised, hands-on, and looking to work within a school setting.
The Role
You will support the Catering Manager in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver a smooth and efficient lunch service for pupils. This includes a mix of administrative duties, food service, and general kitchen support.
- Location: Central London
- Hours: 25 hours per week (10:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only)
- Contract: Permanent
- Payrate: London Living Wage + pension benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the online parent ordering system and responding to queries
- Assisting with menu planning, food orders, and deliveries
- Supporting with stock control and food storage
- Helping to prepare and serve meals
- Ensuring kitchen cleanliness, including dishwashing and deep cleaning
- Supporting food safety, hygiene, and allergen compliance
- Assisting with monitoring food usage and minimising waste
