Are you a Chef looking for more flexible, sociable hours? At Enhance Catering, we are seeking talented Chefs who are looking for a great work-life balance and the chance to be part of a company that caters to the Education, Healthcare and MoD sectors.
As a temporary agency who specialise in safeguarding locations, the hours we have vary from site to site but will be in the range of 0700 - 1500 or 1000 – 1900, Monday to Friday. Weekend work is available if you are open to this, however is not a requirement. Driving and having access to a vehicle would be beneficial for this role due to some of the working locations, however is not a requirement.
Main Duties:
- Preparation of food including variety in diets and allergens which included texture diets, blended meals, and modified meals.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Food orders, dependant on the role you are placed into i.e head chef/chef manager.
- Putting away stock and deliveries.
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements.
- Possibly serving food and/or operating a till.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at either Sous or Head Chef level.
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check or have one already.
- To be a passionate professional chef with a desire to meet high standards and deliver quality food consistently.
- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to comfortably work a busy service as part of a team.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Must have own Chef whites, knives, and safety shoes.
