Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote the school’s Christian values.
- Support children at playtimes and lunchtimes, encouraging active and inclusive play.
- Contribute to record-keeping and tracking progress, under supervision.
- Ensure all pupils have equal access to learning and feel safe and supported.
- Training and Progression
This position is temporary in the first instance.
Achievement of the teaching assistant apprenticeship may offer opportunities to take up a range of positions in education, including one-to-one roles supporting children with additional needs.
You may progress to the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship following a SEND pathway.
