I am looking for two Personal Assistants, for both a Part time and Bank Staff role for a 45-year-old non-verbal young lady who communicates through signing and body language. She has no mobility issues and enjoys walking, listening to music and watching TV/DVDs. She likes being read to and enjoys songs from her song book being sung to her. She also likes doing simple puzzles, looking at magazines and socialising in local pubs and cafes.
Duties: She requires full support with washing, dressing, attending to all personal hygiene and toilet needs. Due to the nature of this role a female is preferred. Responsibilities will include the support in accessing, identifying and the engagement of new, meaningful and stimulating activities within the local community. To support engagement in as many different activities as possible. Sleep in nights are also required.
Hours: Minimum of one 24-hour shift per week for a part-time PA plus various hours for a Bank PA.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working within similar roles.
- Qualified driver with the use of own car; expenses for qualifying journeys will be paid.
- Must be a non-smoker and/or non-vaper.
- Used to lone working.
- Flexible.
- Able to cook.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
Desired Experience: The candidate must be of a 'happy heart' disposition.
Rate: Day Rate: £18.50 per hour, Night (Sleeping) rate: £16.00 per hour.
