We’re working on behalf of a major player in utility & civil infrastructure. One of our key clients—an established, well-capitalized civil contractor specializing in power, energy, and utility infrastructure—is looking for a Superintendent. Not because someone quit or is being replaced, but because the company is growing rapidly.

The company is a large, privately-held contractor with a sharp focus on the underground utility, site/civil, and infrastructure space. They self-perform most of their work, control quality with in-house crews, and have built a reputation for being the go-to contractor when the work’s complex, high-stakes, and politically sensitive. Think large power projects, renewable energy sites, and big civil packages for major utilities.

This is a superintendent role for someone who wants to build, not just manage. Someone who wants to be empowered and respected—not micromanaged. The company is employee-centric by design: field leaders are treated as the backbone of operations, and the pay reflects that. The leadership team comes from the field and understands the work because they’ve done it.

You will be on the ground running projects across New England—overseeing crews, managing safety, pushing schedule, and ensuring quality. You’ll collaborate with project managers and foremen, keep the client happy, and drive the kind of work that actually matters: power, water, energy, infrastructure. If you’re the kind of superintendent who prefers being close to the work rather than stuck in a trailer managing paperwork, you’ll fit in well here.

What they’re looking for:

  • 5+ years running heavy civil or utility projects as a Superintendent
  • A background in underground utilities, power, civil sitework, or similar
  • Strong field leadership—able to manage crews, subs, and schedules confidently
  • A proactive communicator who can coordinate with clients, engineers, and PMs
  • Someone who still loves the work

What’s in it for you:

  • A competitive salary that recognizes your value in the field
  • Company truck, gas card, great benefits, and no nickel-and-diming
  • A leadership team that listens, backs its people, and invests in long-term growth
  • Real stability in a recession-resistant sector—plus lots of runway ahead

This role is available due to growth, not turnover. They’re landing more work than ever, and they want to staff it with people who care about doing the job right—and being treated right while doing it.
