Electrical Project Engineer | 12-Month Contract | South Coast
Location: Portsmouth & Southampton (Commutable)
Project Scope: Major Public Sector Rebuilds (Full Lifecycle)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a heavy-hitting Electrical Project Engineer for a long-term 12-month contract covering major sites in Southampton and Portsmouth. This role is for a "cradle-to-grave" specialist. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of the electrical package from the initial design and pre-construction phase, through to procurement and final site delivery/handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Con & Design: Lead technical design reviews and manage the design interface to ensure buildability before the project hits the site.
- Procurement: Own the supply chain for long-lead items and manage sub-contractor technical submittals.
- Delivery: Provide on-site technical leadership, ensuring installation matches the design intent and remains on schedule.
- Handover: Oversee the full commissioning process and the delivery of high-quality O&M manuals.
Requirements
- Project Experience: Proven track record in the Education or Public Sector (highly desirable).
- Lifecycle Mastery: You must have managed projects from the "design piece" through to completion.
- Compliance: 18th Edition and relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Logistics: Ability to cover sites across both the Portsmouth and Southampton areas.
