We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for an ongoing civil engineering contract in North West London. This is a long-term opportunity overseeing a busy site with a focus on groundworks, service installation, and structural civils.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. You will lead the site team, manage subcontractors, and ensure all environmental and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Overseeing all civils and groundworks activities on-site.
- Service Avoidance: Leading teams in safe excavation practices (CAT 1 & CAT 2).
- Safety & Environment: Conducting daily briefings, tool box talks, and ensuring compliance with the SEATS environmental scheme.
- Documentation: Reviewing RAMS, maintaining the site diary, and managing permits to work.
- Coordination: Acting as the bridge between the project management team and the ground crews.
Requirements
Essential:
- CSCS Gold Card (Supervisory)
- SSSTS (SMSTS preferred)
- CAT 1 & CAT 2 (Service Avoidance/Buried Services)
- SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme)
- Proven experience supervising Civils/Groundworks packages.
Desirable:
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS)
- First Aid at Work
