A growing RICS-regulated Building Surveying and Project Management consultancy is looking to appoint a Director to help lead the next phase of growth.

This is a genuine senior opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor who wants more than a delivery role. You'll have a real seat at the table, the autonomy to shape client relationships, and the chance to directly benefit from the growth you help create.

The business delivers a broad range of professional and project-led consultancy services across commercial, industrial, residential, public sector and social housing instructions, including:

  • Building Surveys / Technical Due Diligence
  • Contract Administration
  • Employer's Agent
  • Project Management
  • Dilapidations
  • Party Wall matters
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Planned Maintenance Programmes
  • Defect analysis / Expert Witness work
  • MEES / EPC compliance and wider professional services

The Opportunity

You'll take a leading role across technical delivery, client development and team leadership.

This will suit someone who is already operating at Associate Director, Director or senior MRICS level and is confident managing both professional surveying instructions and project work, while also generating work through their own network and wider market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of Building Surveying and Project Management instructions
  • Act as Employer's Agent and Contract Administrator on construction and refurbishment projects
  • Deliver and oversee surveys, condition reports, dilapidations, party wall and professional services work
  • Review and sign off technical output across the team
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and professional delivery
  • Develop, manage and grow client relationships
  • Generate new instructions through existing contacts, referrals and business development
  • Cross-sell the firm's wider service offering across surveying, project and professional services
  • Mentor and develop surveyors within the business
  • Help shape the strategic direction and continued growth of the consultancy

What We're Looking For

  • MRICS, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Strong post-qualification experience in Building Surveying
  • Broad technical capability across professional and project work
  • Experience with Contract Administration and/or Employer's Agent duties
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence developing client relationships
  • A genuine track record of winning work or generating repeat business
  • Ability to lead, mentor and improve the people around you
  • Professional, trusted and client-focused approach

Why This Role?

  • Genuine Director-level influence in a growing consultancy
  • Competitive salary package
  • Performance bonus
  • Profit share
  • Real autonomy and flexibility
  • Broad workload across commercial, residential, industrial, public sector and social housing clients
  • Opportunity to shape the future of the business rather than sit within a large corporate structure
  • Supportive, collaborative team with strong technical standards

This is a strong opportunity for an ambitious senior Building Surveyor who enjoys technical delivery, client relationships and business growth, and wants a role where their contribution has a direct impact.
