Principal/Associate Transport Planner

Principal/Associate Transport Planner

Full-Time On-site
E

We’re working with a growing transport consultancy in Yate that is looking to bring an experienced Principal or Associate-level Transport Planner into the team.

This is a really great opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing a workload of projects. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, lead projects, develop junior staff, build client relationships and play a genuine part in the continued growth of the business that is doing fantastically well with ongoing and future projects and no signs of slowing down.

If culture is important to you, this also nails that with a really strong and tight-knit team all supporting one another with regular social events and a real sense of togetherness from regular meetings I've had with them.

The Role:

You’ll be working across a range of development-led transport planning projects, with a strong focus on the commercial sector and opportunities across residential development too.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Leading Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and feasibility studies
  • Managing projects from a technical, commercial and client perspective
  • Acting as a technical lead and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Building strong relationships with clients, developers, local authorities and stakeholders
  • Supporting business development, fee proposals, bids and tenders
  • Representing the business at client meetings, public consultations and negotiations
  • Providing strategic transport advice throughout the planning process

What they’re looking for:

Commercial sector experience is essential, ideally alongside experience within residential/development planning.

You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership of projects and clients, while also having the confidence to lead, mentor and help develop a wider team.

Just as importantly, they’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, personable and hungry to build relationships and contribute to the growth of the business.

Why consider it?

This is a growing consultancy with a strong pipeline of work, where you can have real influence over projects, clients and the direction of the team, rather than being another cog in a large corporate structure.

Strong opportunity for progression and ownership & strong salary

If you’re an experienced Transport Planner looking for a role where you can combine technical delivery, leadership, client management and business development, this could be well worth a conversation.
