A specialist Building Safety & Building Regulations consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Class 3H RBI (or somebody operating at that level) to support complex Higher-Risk Building projects across the UK. This is not a traditional Building Control role. The position is heavily advisory-led, working directly with developers, architects and design teams to navigate complex compliance challenges and de-risk projects before submission to the Building Safety Regulator.
Ideal for somebody who:
- enjoys the technical side of Building Regulations
- wants to specialise further within HRBs
- prefers quality technical work over high-volume inspections
- is looking for a long-term future within Building Safety consultancy
The Role:
- Strategic advisory work across HRB and complex developments
- Reviewing designs through early RIBA stages
- Supporting BSR submissions and compliance strategies
- Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
- Remote-first setup with project/client meetings when required

Requirements:
- Registered Building Inspector – ideally Class 3H
