We’re supporting a specialist fire consultancy with a strong and growing presence in the healthcare and PFI sectors. The business is expanding its dedicated division focused on hospital estates, healthcare facilities, and complex fire compliance projects across the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and rewarding fire engineering projects in the country, covering both design and retrospective strategy work. You’ll play a key role in shaping fire safety across active hospital environments and large-scale healthcare estates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver fire strategies for new build and existing healthcare facilities across all RIBA stages.
  • Undertake retrospective fire strategies, AE (Authorising Engineer) responsibilities, and CoBP (Compliance of Built Protection) surveys.
  • Conduct site inspections and technical audits of passive and active fire systems.
  • Liaise directly with NHS Trusts, hospital estates teams, and design consultants to ensure compliance and practical delivery.
  • Review and validate as-built documentation, fire drawings, and contractor submissions.
  • Contribute to fire safety risk assessments and regulatory compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to support remediation strategies and AE frameworks.
About You
  • Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • MIFireE or working towards professional registration.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering fire strategies or fire safety consultancy within healthcare, PFI, or large complex building environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, fire codes, and NHS HTM guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging directly with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
